»Noli me tangere – Reloaded«
Exhibition in the Foyer

The »Noli me tangere! – Reloaded« Project constitutes a building block within the framework of Kolumba’s cooperation with the Herder Gymnasium High School in Cologne. Whereas up until this point, contacts had merely consisted of visits to the museum accompanied by our curators, the students themselves have now had the opportunity to fill an essential part of the museum with their own works. A year ago, students from grades 5 through 13 were introduced to the title of this exhibition, which translates into English both as »Touch me not« and »Cease holding onto me«. They were invited to develop their ideas and their works with no restrictions being stipulated concerning the genre or materials used. All of the works created are now being presented in an installation in the foyer as Kolumba’s 4th annual exhibition draws to an end. The exhibition opened on Wednesday, 20 July with a musical program event performed by the students themselves. Our thanks go to the Herder Gymnasium High School in Cologne-Buchheim, specifically to Uta Bendix, Anne Nwanneka, Bernhard Peters, and Achim Riechers for their productive cooperation.
